The Boeing 747-400 series in British Airways livery. The 747 first flew on February 9 1969, just before man first walked on the moon on 20 July 1969 and before the first flight of Concorde on 2 March 1969. Still in service and still flying this beautiful aeroplane is presented as a fine mahogany model.

Designed from 1965, it remained the only large commercial aircraft until the arrival of the Airbus A380. Boeing had to acquire more than 300 hectares of land in order to set up the plant for its construction and assembly. 52 aircraft equipped the company British Airways. It is presented here in its classic livery.
